The word ‘Dairy’ is used to refer to cows that are used for producing milk, rather than milk, or to foods that are made from milk, such as cream, butter, and cheese. 

Dairy products 

Dairy products or milk products are type of food produced from or containing the milk of mammals. They include food items such as yogurt, cheese and butter. 

1. Milk

Milk is the white liquid produced by cows, goats, and sheep and used by humans as a drink or for making butter, cheese. 

2. Butter

Butter is a pale yellow solid food containing a lot of fat that is made from cream and is spread on bread or used in cooking. 

3. Buttermilk

Buttermilk is the liquid that is left after taking the fat from cream to make butter.

4. Cheese

Cheese is a food made from milk, that can be either firm or soft and is usually yellow or white in color. 

5. Condensed milk

Condensed milk is a thick and very sweet milk from which water has been removed.

6. Cottage cheese

Cottage cheese is soft, white cheese made from milk curds (=the solid part of the milk) with some whey (=the liquid part) left in. 

7. Cream

Cream is the thick, yellowish – white liquid that forms on the top of the milk.

8. Curd

Curd is the solid substance that forms when milk turns sour.

9. A. Ghee

Ghee is a type of clear butter used in South Asian cooking.

B. Clarified butter

Clarified butter is butter from which water and milk solids have been removed, so that only the butterfat remains. 

10. Ice cream

Ice cream is a very cold, sweet food made from frozen milk or cream, sugar, and a flavor.

11. Milk powder

Milk powder is powder made from dehydrating milk.

12. Paneer

Paneer is a soft cheese from South Asia, often made in the home.

13. Yogurt

Yogurt is a slightly sour, thick liquid made from milk with bacteria added to it, sometimes eaten plain and sometimes with sugar, fruit, etc. added.
